Since opening our doors to the community in January 2006, Kettlethorpe High School Community Learning Centre has provided around 3000 hours of courses and has welcomed around 5000 visits to our free Internet Cafe.

Employment Skills Sessions

At Kettlethorpe High School Community Learning Centre we are now offering Employment Skills sessions in partnership with Wakefield Adult & Community Education Service, Wakefield & District Housing and Next Step provider Babcock Enterprise.

The Employment Skills sessions will provide information and advice to support adults in making appropriate decisions on a full range of learning and work opportunities. This is a free, impartial and confidential service open to all adults, delivered by qualified careers advisers.

We can advise on learning and work, deciding which career would suit you best, creating a CV, searching the local job market and brushing up on your interview skills. You do not need to be unemployed to attend these sessions as we can also offer help on improving ways of progressing in your current job. The CLC staff will also be on hand to help with improving your computing skills!

This is a free drop-in session available every Wednesday from 1:00-4:00pm.
